Auto Plus XP update!

River's Edge, Inc. has been hard at work developing the next generation of Auto Plus, Auto PlusXP! Last month we promised to explain more about the AAIA eCatalog Setup and publishing features as well as automatic creation of work orders when entering sales orders.


AAIA eCatalog Setup:


AAIA eCatalog Status now shows all of your .ini settings such as your Product Name i.e. "Auto Plus XP eCatalog", Product Version Number, Product Creation Date, Application Folder Name, Shortcut Folder Name, Shortcut Name, Publisher, Comments and Web Address (these are displayed up in the Add/Remove Program group in Control Panel)





AAIA eCatalog Export allows you to publish or create a MS Excel or ASCII version of your electronic catalog. This feature allows you to see your current number of Makes, Models, Years, Categories, Sub-Categories and Total Entries. The ability to select Manufacture Codes has been added allowing you to create a catalog for Bosch only as an example. Users can now tailor their CD with specific Categories and Sub-Categories. This is helpful for users wanting to send CDs out to customers who only purchase your Brake component line as an example. Auto Plus XP users will now have the ability to select what Make, Models and Years they wish to publish to the CD. An example would be the Auto Plus XP user who wants to send a CD out to their Audi customers only although they sell product for Porsche as well. Users now have the added ability to export product pricing if desired. All price sheets are available for you to publish multiple price columns.


AAIA eCatalog Report allows users to send to their printer an Inventory List Report, Price List and Vehicle Application Guide. All of the same publishing features such as Manufacture Code selecting, Category/Sub-Category, Vehicle and Price selecting are available.







AAIA eCatalog CD Image feature allows users to create an electronic CD Image to duplicate and distribute to customers. All of the features above are available for .ini settings (this allows users to make the finished work look like their own), Manufacture Code selecting, Category/Sub-Category, Vehicle and Pricing selection. When published, Auto Plus XP creates all files necessary for users to burn to CD. When your customers receive the CD, they simply insert the CD in their computer and the eCatalog installs like any other Windows based software application. Automatic creation of Work Orders:


Sales Order entry screens now allow for the editing of the Kitting/Bill of Materials. By clicking on the "Kitting" button while in an Order Entry screen, users are shown the detail of any kit on the Sales Order. This feature allows users to edit the Bill of Materials for this particular build. This would include the ability to edit the ordered quantity, ship quantity, back order quantity, build quantity, price and others. The added ability to edit the Bill of Materials allows you to modify the kit for this particular build without changing the original kit detail. Users have the ability to add and delete items on a kit and even change the required quantity per item.


Work Order creation is automatic when an item on a Sales Order or Service Order is a Master Part Number or Kit item. The Work Order is tied to the Sales or Service Order Number. The Work Order prints information such as Sales or Service Order Number, Master Kit Number, Description, Quantity on Hand, Quantity to Build, Total Quantity, Stock Level per item and many others.
