Rebsi: So, let's get started. How did you first hear about Auto PlusXP?

James: I was researching several software packages and companies that could set up an online shopping cart and e-commerce website. Luckily I found Auto PlusXP just before I was ready to hire another company using a system called CatPro. CatPro was not exactly what I was looking for but was the closest thing to a shopping cart that could be modified for an automotive application, including a year, make, and model search. After one demonstration with Johnny I was sold on AutoPlusXP. In all of my research I can say that Auto PlusXP is hands down the most powerful easy to use automotive management software available. This is the only automotive based software system anyone should ever consider.


Rebsi: What were your first impressions of the product when you signed up? What keeps you using Auto PlusXP?

James: After viewing the demonstration it took a couple of days to digest exactly what Auto PlusXP was capable of doing. I use the program everyday and still can't believe how many things I still have yet to learn, and how easy it is to move around inside the program. The best feature of Auto PlusXP is the import tool. I can build a spreadsheet in Excel and import into Auto PlusXP, it appears instantly and then I can tweak my data using the profile screen. It couldn't be easier and best of all it is free to import. Beware of other companies they will charge you per item!!


Rebsi: What other benefits did you experience when using Auto PlusXP?

James: For me the most important thing is attaching a part number to a specific group of vehicles so it can be searched on my website. Auto PlusXP makes this very simple. Open the application tab and just choose from an industry standard database, all the years, makes, and models that apply and that part number is automatically attached to the item. Everything inside Auto PlusXP is menu driven and very easy to navigate.


Rebsi: Were you using another software product before or were you managing your automotive business without a software system? Was the transition difficult?

James: During my time in the industry I have used programs from AllData, Mitchell, Yahoo Site Builder and several other companies. Auto PlusXP out performs them incorporating a superb inventory, seamless online integration and outstanding tech support. The transition was simple.


Rebsi: What challenges did you face that Auto PlusXP was able to help resolve?

James: I needed a program that would allow me to sell online and at my store. Auto PlusXP displays my inventory, product details, recommended items plus much more. This allows me to answer a question on the phone, over the counter or rely on a salesperson knowing that they are well informed and capable of finding everything in ONE place.


Rebsi: How are you using Auto PlusXP? What are you using it for? What features do you use most (inventory SEO, sales order entry, purchase orders)? Have you used Auto PlusXP in ways you hadn't anticipated?

James: I am using Auto PlusXP mostly to handle my website information. The features I use the most are the import and export routines that allow my website to be updated instantly. I never anticipated just how extensive Auto PlusXP is and I plan to use it to accomplish many physical inventory control tasks.


Rebsi: Has your investment in Auto PlusXP provided a positive ROI?

James: Auto PlusXP pays for itself everyday, it is so powerful and simple to use.


Rebsi: What was the learning curve for Auto PlusXP? Was it easy to use?

James: If you can use a computer there is no learning curve, you just end up wishing all the other programs you use were as easy as Auto PlusXP. If you can move a mouse you can use Auto PlusXP the program is genius.


Rebsi: How has Auto PlusXP affected the amount of time it takes you to find what your customer is looking for? Are you seeing fewer returns now because the customer is getting the correct part for their application?

James: Information can be found very easily within the program. Returns will decrease because every item can be linked to a specific application leaving very little room for error.


Rebsi: What are some of the things that people are saying about Auto PlusXP?

James: I was also fortunate enough to work with a company called Expert Data Solutions that helped me build the website and shopping cart I needed to take full advantage of Auto PlusXP. Expert Data Solutions is on the cutting edge of website building, there graphic design is second to none and are the most professional and straight forward hosting source available. They spoke very highly of Auto PlusXP throughout the entire process and made integration very simple. They custom built a shopping cart around Auto PlusXP and agreed it was the best automotive software management program available.


Rebsi: What is the one feature of Auto PlusXP that you can't live without?

James: I like the fact that I can update my inventory pricing structure across the board, on a particular line, or even an individual item.
