Walmart Marketplace Auto Parts Walmart is a catalog with rules. Yours already follows them.

The Auto Plus Walmart Connector builds every part's item from the catalog you already keep in Auto Plus, checks it against the marketplace's own rules, writes the ACES fitment file for each brand you own, and shows you exactly what keeps a part off Walmart — with the fix laid out.

The Problem

Get one field wrong and the item never appears.

Every Walmart Marketplace item belongs to one product type, and each type has its own required fields, its own value lists and its own picture count. Fitment arrives separately, as an industry ACES file, matched to your item by brand and part number.

Doing that by hand, part by part, is slow work that never ends — prices move, pictures change and fitment grows. Most of the work of selling on Walmart is getting the catalog right, and that is exactly what Auto Plus is for.

You keep running your business in Seller Center. The connector only writes the catalog side.

What It Does

Ready, or held — and always the reason why.

Every part you mark Web Upload is built into an item and checked before anything is sent.

Product types, pre-mapped

A map from every industry part type to a Walmart product type ships with the connector, curated by Rivers Edge. Your Parts Classification comes first; prohibited part types are never listed.

Checked against Walmart's rules

Required fields, value lists, picture count, GTIN, condition and country of origin. A part that passes is ready; one that does not is held, with the reason.

Attributes in Walmart's words

Your PIES attributes land in the right fields. What the connector is sure of is sent; what it is less sure of is suggested and waits for your decision — once per part type.

ACES 4.2 fitment files

One file per brand you own, with the Auto Care Brand ID header the marketplace requires — engine blocks, qualifiers, notes and positions exactly as you mapped them.

The fix, laid out

What keeps parts off Walmart is shown by problem or by part, as rows of Auto Plus's own PIES import template, already filled with what Auto Plus holds. Type what is missing and import.

A listing preview

Title, price, pictures, key features, specifications and the vehicles each part fits — as Walmart would receive them, before anything is listed.

What a Walmart Item Is Made Of

Nothing re-keyed. Nothing dropped silently.

Walmart has no place for some of what Auto Plus holds — keywords, videos, install documents, extra interchange numbers. Those are listed per part as "not sent to Walmart", so nothing disappears without you knowing.

Get Ready Before You Connect

Do the catalog work now. Connect when approved.

  1. Map your part types

Accept or change the suggested Walmart product type for each part type or Parts Classification node.

  2. Decide your attributes

Confirm how your PIES attributes reach the marketplace's fields, once per part type.

  3. Fix what keeps parts off

Use the worksheets: fill in what is missing, create the import files, import them into Auto Plus.

  4. Write your fitment files

Fill in the ACES header for each brand you own and write the files.

Sending to Walmart — items, price, quantity and the fitment files — arrives with the connection, set up with your own approved seller account through an API Manager update.

Brands You Own, Brands You Resell

Fitment follows the brand.

  • Brands you own — the brands registered to you in Auto Plus — send their fitment in their own ACES file, and their content. Registering them in Walmart's Brand Portal makes your content win on the shared catalog.
  • Brands you resell send no fitment. Walmart attaches the brand owner's fitment to your listing by brand and part number.
What It Never Does
  • Never touches orders, payments, returns or promotions. Seller Center does all of that.
  • Never edits your Auto Plus data. It hands you import files; you decide whether to import them.
  • Never widens fitment. Your applications go out exactly as you mapped them.

Run from the Auto Plus API Manager

The connector lives in the API Manager on your own server, under Sales Channels > Walmart: product types, attribute mapping, Things to fix with worksheets, the listing preview and your fitment files. More about the API Manager.

Questions

Walmart connector questions.

Can I use it before Walmart approves my seller account?

Yes. Everything up to the listing preview and the fitment files works with no seller account. Most customers find the catalog work is the bigger job.

How does Walmart take auto parts fitment?

As an ACES XML file per brand, with the brand's Auto Care Brand ID in the header, matched to your item by brand and manufacturer part number. The connector writes that file as ACES 4.2 from your Auto Plus applications, exactly as mapped.

What if I sell a brand I do not own?

It is listed with its content, and the marketplace attaches the brand owner's fitment by brand and part number. You do not send fitment for it.

Why is a part held when it looks fine in Auto Plus?

Walmart's product type may require something Auto Plus does not hold yet: more pictures, an attribute, a GTIN. The held part says exactly what, and its worksheet is where you add it.

Does it replace Seller Center?

No. Orders, payments, returns, promotions and reports stay in Seller Center. The connector writes the catalog side only.

Is my Walmart Client Secret shared with Rivers Edge?

No. It is stored, encrypted, on your server, and only the connector on that server uses it. Walmart's terms do not allow sharing those keys, and Rivers Edge never asks for them.
